Mike Pyle defeats Ricardo Almeida by unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27)

Uh oh, another close fight is going to the judges.
True to expectation, both Ricardo "Big Dog" Almeida and Mike "Quicksand" Pyle used their similar tool kits to battle each other to a virtual standstill. The action was so stagnate that the crowd didn't even have the heart to put any lust into its boos; instead showering the Octagon with muted displeasure.
As Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan pointed out, it wasn't a case of one or both gladiators refusing to engage. It was just two equally matched competitors with equivalent skill sets going toe-to-toe being hampered by that reality.
Honestly, I have no idea who won because each of the three rounds could've gone either way.
I'd probably have scored it 29-28 to Pyle by virtue of more decisive first and third rounds, but we'll have to see if that's the way the judges saw it.
Well, one of 'em did and the other two favored Quicksand even more heavily so he gets the UD.
Mike Pyle defeats Ricardo Almeida by unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27).
