For those of you that do not know what John 3 16 is this is a Bible verse that says “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” This verse tells of how God loved us so much that the child that was birthed through Mary after the overshadowing of His spirit was given as a sacrifice to die on the cross and become cursed to redeem us from the curse.
Many people think that salvation just means not going to hell. They are unaware that salvation means “the act of delivering from sin or saving from evil”. That is in this life as well. When you keep this in mind and read through the rest of the Bible John 3 16 is even more powerful as you see all of the covenant promises we can tap into each and every day. If you are not saved here is a prayer that you can pray on John 3:16 Day.
God,
I come before you and ask you to save me from my sins and I commit to be yours forever and serve you all of the days of my life and I am never going to change my mind in Jesus’ name Amen.
